For official J-League sponsors, TAG Heuer Japan, every season's kick-off comes with a fresh opportunity to engage with passionate soccer fans throughout the country. This time, they had match tickets to give away, to boot.
So instead of brainstorming, we decided to binge on some Captain Tsubasa DVDs from the 90s in search of "inspiration." When we didn't find any, we decided to play some FIFA. And when nothing else worked, we just put the two together. Voilà: a retro anime-inspired video-game that plays exclusively on Instagram stories.
